Your contribution makes a big difference! Thank you
Welcome to the Sacred Heart Boys National School fundraiser lotto. It’s a fund-raising initiative and the money raised will be used to directly support our school and your children’s education. Please pass the word on and invite friends and family.
As a school we are committed to providing the very best IT equipment, and teaching and learning resources. We take pride in being able to purchase supplementary reading programmes, update our sports equipment, and implement many extra initiatives that all require a budget.
The commitment to provide the very best for the school costs more than the school grants provided by the department. This is a challenge for many schools in Ireland and we want to overcome this challenge with our school fundraiser lotto.
Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, our lotto fundraiser has managed to fund many very exciting projects in our school. Please see below for this year ambitious plans and for some of our past projects.
This year, we have very ambitious plans for how we will spend money that we raise. It is our hope that we can raise funds for an outdoor play space for the children in the school. The image below is an example of the kind of thing we would hope to erect. It would prove a valuable addition to our PE resources, assist children with proprioceptive movements, provide movement breaks for all children and prove to be a very fun addition to the school for the boys. Such a project cannot be delivered without your support, and we thank you in once again for the ongoing support of our lotto.
We have built a brand new, state-of-the-art sensory room, which will now create a suitable space for pupils with sensory needs.
We have purchased iPads as part of our digital plan to use our computer room as a digital hub where skills such as film making, podcasting, animation and green screen technology will be taught to boys in the school.
We have also purchased editing software and a large green screen to assist with the children's IT classes and to give the boys a new outlet for their creativity.
We hope that the weekly option of €2.50 per line will allow everybody to contribute.
If you can contribute €5 for 3 lines, it would be hugely appreciated and you never know you might just win!
Best of luck!
Niall Carty, Principal
