Your contributions will allow the Parent Council to support our students in a fun and enjoyable way while also providing them with resources/guidance for their future.
Every two years the Parent Council run a Careers Fair where we invite 3rd level institutions and professionals to our school to meet with students and parents to discuss options available to them.
We also invite motivational speakers to the school to offer guidance to our 6th year students.
Last year was a very unusual and hard year for the students and teachers and the Parent Council wanted to do what we could to help this situation. We supplied the graduation candles for the ceremony of light, engraved pens and a bunch of chocolate to the 6th years. We were able to run a 12 Days of Christmas Raffle. This was very successful and the prize was a One 4 All voucher. We were also able to provide prizes for the Virtual Talent Show. Not wanting to forget the great work of the teachers we put on a feast of cakes in the staff room.
In 2019 we ran our first table quiz for students and families. The PC sought donations for the raffle and procured prizes for the lucky dip. In 2020 we had our second one and we had a phenomenal response. It is a fun night. Hopefully we will be able to run it again next year.
The Parent Council also offer support to the school for events such as the graduation, shows or charity events. It is always our pleasure to do this.
